Kindness

For some time now, Margaret in Upper III has been thoughtfully considering ways to contribute more to her community. She has already been helping at the local care home with her older sister, Grace, continuing to support the Salvation Army with regular food donations, and recently taking the initiative to organise and prepare an afternoon tea at the Prophet Elias Orthodox Christian Church in Reading.

Margaret attended the beautiful Holy Pentecost service, and just before it concluded, she quietly stepped out to prepare the tables for the congregants. The preparations began early that morning, with jam, ham and cheese sandwiches, washing fruits, and cutting the cakes. The event was a resounding success, with everyone from elderly guests (some travelling all the way from North London) to students, expressing their delight. Margaret has already promised to put together another event before the summer holiday. It was a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, share ideas and enjoy delicious food in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
