Kaavya success

Kaavya in Upper II kept herself very busy the summer, and the rewards for her efforts are now paying dividends.

Last Friday, she won the Manager’s Best Player Award across all age girls’ group for the 2022 Cricket season at Hurst Cricket Club.

She successfully passed with high Merit the violin exam organised at School and going to continue her journey in stage 2. She also successfully gained a Red Belt with two yellow stripes as part of after school Judo club.

She loves swimming and earlier this year moved to stage 5 at Bulmershe Swimming Centre. She has also won medals in the U9 floor and vault gymnastics competition at Bulmershe Gymnastics Club. She also won several school sports day medals including fastest sprinter.

She has been learning Kathak (Indian Classical Dance from) from the age of five and gained stage 1 exam with distinction last year. The only student in her group to achieve this feat. Throughout July this year, Kaavya spent most time preparing and performing Kathak with her dance group at Reading Mela annual event that celebrates the music, art and culture of South Asia. Now she is preparing for her stage 2 exam in November.
