Junior School Breakfast with Mrs Newton

on

What better way to meet the head than over a delicious breakfast in her study. Every Abbey girl at the Junior School has received a special invite this half term and enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Janine and her team from Holroyd Howe including a selection of freshly baked pastries. This has been a great opportunity for our new head to meet each student and really get to know everyone. Whilst in her office the girls have had lots of fun chatting, but have also helped Mrs Newton fill up a ‘Pupil Feedback’ board with post-it notes. They have shared all the things they love about school and the ways we could make it even better.

We all know the food at The Abbey is incredible and many of the girls shared how they are looking forward to Abbey Gardens children joining us in September and creating more of a ‘restaurant’ feel when we’re eating together.

The girls had such a wonderful time, they have also asked for the breakfasts to continue next year as a special treat. Collectively, they have decided that each week, 1 girl per form be nominated to receive an invitation in Celebration Assembly, to attend on a Friday morning. Mrs Newton thought this was a brilliant idea and couldn’t think of a more delightful way to end the week and what a great excuse to keep up the pink and purple bunting that decorates her office ceiling.
