Mythology club has gathered every fortnight this term to delve into stories and legends of the past. Led by our wonderful Classics prefect, Elie, we have had a brilliant time extending our knowledge beyond the classroom.
Highlights of the term include creating our own ‘Which Goddess are you?’ quizzes and learning about dragons from cultures across the world. We all know the difference between a Chinese and British dragon and how to recognise a Wyvern. Designing our own dragons was a great creative exercise!
The end of term was celebrated with a Saturnalia party this week. Elie taught us about the Roman origins of Christmas and everybody donned ‘pili’ to play games and exchange gifts of (chocolate) money. Great fun was had celebrating the Roman way!
Mythology club is open to all students in Upper III, Lower IV and Upper IV and activities are planned around the interests of those who attend. We meet every other Tuesday in G4.
Io Saturnalia from Mythology Club!
