Interludes Recital

on

The full audience at the Interludes Recital last week were thoroughly entertained by a diverse range of instruments and styles. The concert began with some flute items, both solo by Mitali and duet by Shefali and Isabella which showcased lilting melodies, followed by a haunting tango played on the violin by Nona and a beautifully performed piece, “Allegro Assai”, by Charlotte on the piano. Haylen entertained with spirited music by Beethoven played on her new cello which showcased an impressive tone and Imogen concluded the Recital with a rousing rendition of the Can-Can. We are looking forward to more busy programmes in the remaining weeks of term. Please do support our fabulous musicians!

“The Interludes Recital really boosted my confidence. When I was preparing, I got anxious that I would mess up terribly, but I realised that it was a great opportunity for me to practice playing in front of an audience, which is something that seemed terrifying to me before. Playing in the recital helped me learn how to keep on going when I make mistakes, and helped me notice where I could improve. I also enjoyed listening to others’ performances. They were all impressive, and I could tell they had all practiced diligently leading up to this lunch time.”
