In our final Interludes Recital before the half-term break, Catherine from Upper VI performed the entirety of her A level performance coursework on the piano to a warm and supportive audience. It was a pleasure to include a solo recital on the programme for this week and those gathered enjoyed two solo pieces by Chopin (Nocturne in C# minor and Waltz in A minor), followed by a spirited piano duet by Moszkowski. Catherine communicated the hauntingly beautiful melodies of her solo pieces effectively to the audience and successfully mastered the intricate technicalities of the duet. This was the culmination of 18 months of diligent practice and a celebration of her progress so far.
