It was a lively Interludes Recital this week with all audience seats taken! The recital began with a fun piece played by the Saxophone Ensemble. This music was written by our saxophone teacher, Mr. Frost, inspired by a naughty ginger cat in his neighbourhood! It was full of pulsating rhythms and engaging melodies – you could really imagine the cat sneaking about in typical feline fashion. This item was followed by three beautiful songs performed by Wini, Alison and Candy. All vocalists conveyed the expression of their pieces impressively and Candy even accompanied herself to her One Direction song on the ukulele! The recital then concluded with a wonderful rendition of Tamoio, played by Sze Ching on the clarinet. Not only did Sze Ching perform well, she also successfully acted as MC for our recital. Thank you, as always, to our fabulous performers, the supportive audience and the fantastic peripatetic teachers who prepared their students for their thoroughly enjoyable performances. Please do join us for our ‘Piano Special’ next week!
