On Wednesday 25 September, three students performed at the Interludes Recital. With teachers listening and students photographing, the pressure was on!
The interlude began with Amelia from Year 10 on the flute, playing On a Summer’s Evening by Gordon Jacob- a dreamy, mellow piece. It was beautifully played – well done Amelia!
I was the next person to play and chose the piece ‘T-Rex Hungry by Sonny Chua’ to perform from ABRSM’s Grade 3 collection. My piano piece was full of articulation and expression.
Last but not least, we welcomed Haylen on the stage, who performed Scherzo by Telemann on the cello. Engaging and technical, Haylen played this terrifically!
The Interludes Recital celebrates joy through music and allows students and teachers to support each other and play their pieces. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it to others.
