The Fine Art, 3D and Textile Department were delighted to see Elisha’s beautiful Artwork created over the summer holidays. Her acrylic painting depicts a boat on the river. She has carefully used colour and brushstrokes to capture the movement of the boat through the water, from a particularly challenging view point. Her embroidery uses coloured threads to create tone and form in the flowers and foliage to great effect. Art and Textiles, aside from being Mindful activities which promote wellbeing, also develop ones concentration, patience and dexterity, skills which can support learning in other subjects.
