IAPS Netball Tournament at Wellington College

on

On 26 March we took 7 students to Wellington College to compete in the annual regional rounds of the IAPS Netball tournament. The girls were full of excitement and vigour, ready to take on the challenge of qualifying for the national rounds! We displayed some fantastic play in attack with precise shooting and passing. Our first match was against our rivals The Manor from Oxford. Both teams played at a fast pace whilst remaining in control and the game ended in a draw.

Our second game was against Maltmans Green which we won convincingly with fantastic shooting and tenacious defence. Our third game against Hurlingham was difficult with the team using tactics against us that we couldn’t respond to. This resulted in a loss which unfortunately meant we missed out on the cup competition only by goal difference. Onto the plate competition where we won our quarter final against Wellington College Prep 4-1 to put us in the semi final! We played a tough team in Chesham however and lost by 3 goals! The improvement of all the girls throughout the year has been nothing short of remarkable and I am extremely proud of them.
