House Poetry

Last week we held our first ever House Poetry Competition in the Senior School. Students teams were invited to memorise and perform a poem of their choice, showing understanding of meaning and interpretation in their delivery.  Heats took place all week with a grand final judged by Mr Morton and Mr Le Fleming on Friday.

Results were as follows:

3rd Gabrielle in Upper III (Carrington) who performed the poem ‘She is Magic’;
2nd Carys and Hope in Upper V (Ducat) who gave a highly entertaining rendition of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’;
1st place went to Grace and Imogen H in Upper V (Paget) who gave a powerful performance of the poem ‘Dearest’.

Congratulations to all who took part and a special mention to both Aaarna and Ivana in Upper III who made it to the final reciting poems they had written themselves.
