Rehearsals, sign-up sheets and buzzing excitement can only mean one thing – House Music and Drama is back! From powerful solos to hilarious sketches, every house has bought their A-game. It’s all about teamwork, talent and just a sprinkle of rivalry! 4 houses compete for one iconic winner, so who will it be? Carrington has brought their confident stage presence, Paget their flair for comedy, Ducat has expressive choreography, and Kensington showcases musical talent! Each house has unveiled their unique strengths, making this year’s competition one to remember — a true celebration of talent, dedication, and school spirit!
Of course, no House Music and Drama event would be complete without teamwork. From lead performers to the backstage crew, everyone has played a part in bringing the acts to life. Nervous giggles, shared pep talks, and moments of quick-thinking brilliance have all shown that collaboration is at the heart of the competition. It’s not just about who wins — it’s about supporting each other, having fun, and putting on a show everyone will remember.
Well done to each house, but we would like to give a really big congratulations to Kensington for winning this year’s HMAD!!!
Also, a very big thank you to our wonderful judges, technicians, and of course, our marvellous audience!

Carrington
“Getting to be a part of something as unique and iconic as HMAD 2025 has been an absolute pleasure. From drawing Carrington’s theme, “Driving,” to shaping our storyline, right through to dress and tech rehearsals, and finally, the live show – it’s been an amazing and unforgettable journey. To say it has been a breeze would be an understatement. However, I think all our fellow house captains would agree that to have the unique opportunity to manage and showcase the wide range of skills from across different year groups has taught us many valuable lessons; the importance of which we will come to realise in the future. The emotion of watching our friend’s performances, knowing the hard work and dedication that had gone into each and every small detail, was an unforgettable feeling, definitely making this day one of the many highlights from my years at The Abbey.”
Charlotte and Molly, Carrington House Captains

Ducat
“HMAD has always been a highlight of the year and this time we had the absolute joy of putting our own spin on the theme “Sailing.” It has been such a privilege to see the many talents of the girls across all of the year groups and get to know them more. We are so proud of everyone, especially our fellow house captains. We all put our greatest efforts into the performances and it was so lovely to see everyone’s hard work pay off. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that made this amazing event possible; Ms Venning and Miss Lopresti, and their unwavering support, Kyle and our tech team, who managed the sound and lighting, the year 13s who supported us backstage and finally, all the students involved in the performance who spent their lunchtimes and after school hours turning up to rehearsals to support us house captains. We thank you so much for making our last HMAD so magical. None of it would have been possible without you!”
Ella and Lucy, Ducat House Captains

Paget
“This was my second HMAD as a Housemaster. And I am still amazed at the fantastic achievement of the House Captains and their team of supporters and all the #Paget #Participants in planning, rehearsing and executing such an amazing performance in just a few weeks. Evie and Fran put in so much work coordinating and working on parts of the show, supported by Leah, Elsa, Daisy, Shefali and many others, working together to unite the separate elements required into a coherent performance with each part linked through the “Tour de Abbey” bringing Cycling together with the Water Cycle and even the Teachers’ Spin Class. It was inspired! And throughout, the #PagetParticipation spirit was alive, everyone learning their lines and dance moves, everyone bringing such energy on the day. Ms Smart and I could not have been any more #PagetProud!”
Mr Robert Bradley, Paget House Master

Kensington
“Kensington’s HMAD performance followed House Captains, Grace and Saskia, on our final trip together to Florida, USA to watch the launch of the Artemis II rocket. Our theme was flying and so the performance included various elements such as Breaking Free from High School Musical for choir, Defying Gravity from Wicked for orchestra and a comedic air hostess sketch from our House Masters, Mr Hills and Mr Lovibond. We loved every single part of HMAD from all the rehearsals to the final performance and are so proud of each and everyone of you who took part. Good luck to everyone participating next year!”
Grace and Saskia, Kensington House Captains
