Harvest Donation

on

This year’s Harvest Festival provided the school with an opportunity to reflect both on how fortunate we are and also on the fact that 14.6% of Reading’s population is at risk of food insecurity. Our wonderful Abbey Senior School students once again demonstrated their kindness this year by generously donating 156kg of non-perishable food items to ReadiFood.

Abbey parents working for the ACT Foundation UK were also involved and this charity generously donated an additional 33kg of vegan food, bringing the total to 189kg. ReadiFood has provided emergency food parcels to families in need in the Reading area for over 25 years and the Abbey is proud to continue to support this charity and our local community.
