On Wednesday 1 October, the Junior School celebrated Harvest and as usual the staff and students went above and beyond with their generous contributions.

Kensington Hall was full of packets of rice, pasta, tinned foods, the odd sweet treat and tea and coffee. Dr Cuthbertson led the Assembly and, after inspiring facts about how and why Harvest was celebrated historically, he caught the interest of his rapt audience by mentioning mermaids! Something we could never imagine being part of a Harvest Celebration.

Upper I students read a poem, followed by the act of giving, led by three of our younger children carrying baskets of fresh produce. Reading Pantries have been the recipients of our offerings this year and, as our Abbey community has again come together to help others, we have been reflecting on our recent value of Caring.
