Girls into Electronics

on

Six Lower VI Physics students attended a ‘Girls into Electronics’ day at the University of Southampton. They participated in a workshop where they learned how to program a microcontroller.

Two of the students were successfully able to get an LED to flash when they tilted the board more than 20° and the others were almost there. The students also heard talks from several recent female graduates from the Electronic Engineering course. A good day was had by all and the students asked many insightful questions to the lecturers and students running the event.
