Last week the German Department took the opportunity to celebrate German Week. This is an annual event set up by the Goethe Institute in London, which celebrates the culture and language of the country. To mark this occasion several events and competitions were held throughout the course of the week.

Students had the chance to get creative by designing their own poster about a German speaking celebrity or by completing the German week booklet. We also transformed one of the language classrooms into a cafe, where students got to sample a variety of typical German food from pretzels to Haribo!
