GCSE Private Viewing

on

Last Friday, Art & Textiles were delighted to share their students’ GCSE work at a Private View event in the Hardcastle Hall. This exhibition was curated from final pieces of work from over 40 students from our Art and Textiles 2022-23 cohort.

There was a great turnout on the day and a wonderful atmosphere! We were delighted that many of our students and their families were able to attend, as well as Abbey Staff and our local community. Those who attended commented on the originality, quality and variety of the work on show.  It was great to see so many of the students enjoying the work and lovely to see their pride in sharing their work with others. This was such a great opportunity to celebrate the success of our GCSE students.

One of our favourite comments of the evening was “Well that’s just the best thing ever!” – a comment about our central installation of textiles combined with surrealist shoes.

We wish to express thanks to all of our Abbey community as well as the staff and students for their involvement in another wonderful collaborative event.
