As part of the ongoing eco-activities at The Abbey, back in the Spring Term, the Senior School Eco Council planted lots of seeds in the Senior School veggie patch, and then students at the gardening club looked after them by weeding and watering every week.
This resulted in a bumper harvest of four boxes of onions, carrots, beetroot, and lettuce. These were donated and used in Lower V Food Technology lessons and to the school canteen, which has used the vegetables to create dishes for school lunches for both staff and students.
