French Cookery Club

14 girls from Upper III cooked a tarte flambée after school on Wednesday.

This is a regional dish from Alsace and consists of a pizza base, a white sauce, bacon and onion and gruyere topping. In the process we learnt about the interesting history of Alsace (and why the tarte flambée is also known as Flammkuchen) and the girls mastered a range of cookery skills to produce delicious dishes.

Mrs Wooldridge and Mrs Fowkes were very impressed with their speed and attention to detail. Bravo, les filles et bon appétit!
