Food and Nutrition: Pasta and sauce

This week in Food and Nutrition we made our own pasta and sauce from scratch. It was really fun making it because we had to make and prepare the pasta ourselves, which I have never done before. It was a great opportunity as it would be something new I learnt and would improve my current kneading skills. This will be very handy for me in the future when I want to make fresh pasta.

Pasta is one of my favourite dishes and making the pasta from scratch made me appreciate the work that goes into it as you had to make sure the pasta was kneaded well so that you had a good consistency, especially when you have to boil it. The recipe that we used for the tomato sauce was so much better than the readymade ones you get in the jars and felt fresh. Overall I would say my pasta and sauce was so tasty!
