On the last day of their Spanish trip Lower V students, Yasmina and Didi reflect on the highlights of the trip:
“Yesterday, we began the day with a Spanish lesson, but instead of staying in the classroom, we went out to the local market. We were given a checklist of tasks, like asking for prices, finding certain foods, and having short conversations with stall owners, which was a bit nerve-wracking at first but helped us to improve our speaking skills. Once we completed the tasks, we each received certificates, which felt rewarding. After the market, we walked to the beach and spent a couple of hours relaxing in the sun, playing games, and swimming in the sea. The weather was amazing, and it was a great way to chill out and have fun with our friends. In the evening, we went out for a traditional tapas meal, where we got to try lots of different Spanish dishes like croquetas and patatas bravas. Afterwards, we went to a flamenco show. The music, singing, and dancing were full of emotion which made it a really unforgettable experience and a highlight of the whole trip. Today, as a final goodbye before leaving for the airport, our teachers treated us to churros and chocolate, which was a fantastic way to end our time in Spain.”
