It’s great to be moving towards another expedition season, with our Upper V heading out on their Silver DofE Practice Expedition next week and our Gold Canoeists heading out on their Training & Practice Expedition during the Easter Holiday. The weather forecast looks friendly, so I am sure these will provide some enjoyable adventures.

Of course the Expedition Section is only part of a DofE Award and over the past few months lots of Volunteering, Skill and Physical activities will have been participated in, giving some really worthwhile experiences.

Congratulations to the following students who have achieved DofE Awards over the past few months, since our last round up at the end of the Autumn Term. Completing a DofE Award is a fantastic achievement and it’s always worth remember ing that not everyone who starts a DofE Award completes it, so very well done!

Silver Awards – Elsa, Mariella, Avika, Astrid, Rashi, Sofia, Lucy, Chloe, Joanna, Rosa, Jessica, Victoria, Tia, Elena, Daisy, Eleanor, Alice.

Gold Awards – Rosie, Rebecca, Grace, Grace, Chloe, Emily.

It’s great to see a few Abbey alumae in this list with a couple of students completing DofE Awards who actually left school five and six years ago! It’s always worth following up and finishing off, even after leaving school.

It will also be great to see our new Gold Award achievers attending their Gold Award Celebration Event at Buckingham Palace in May.
