This week, Upper V students had the opportunity to engage with Sixth Formers in an inspiring academic mixer. The event, designed to introduce younger students to the breadth of Sixth Form study, highlighted the importance of independent learning and intellectual curiosity.
Sixth Formers showcased their Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ), IB Extended Essays, and prize winners of the Sixth Form Summer Project Prize, offering insights into their research journeys. Topics included the legal implications of artificial intelligence, the portrayal of Medusa and the significance of gender in medical treatment. Students shared their experiences of independent study, research methods, and time management skills, providing Upper Vs with valuable advice for their own academic futures.
The interactive session allowed curious Upper V to ask questions, explore different subject areas, and gain a clearer understanding of what awaits them in Sixth Form. The event was a fantastic opportunity to foster curiosity and inspire the next generation of independent learners.
