As part of our new partnership with Wokingham Cricket Club, some of our Lower School students had the opportunity to work with Dan Housego – ex professional cricketer for Middlesex and Gloucestershire – in workshops on Monday afternoon. Students focused on basic fielding and batting skills through ‘stations’, as well as developing some of the more tactical aspects via small-sided games. 

Coaches from Dan Housego cricket will also be working with our students in our weekly training sessions at Wokingham Cricket Club. These will be taking place on Monday afternoons finishing at 5.30pm.

In addition to this, Wokingham Cricket Club are also providing free coaching for all girls between the ages of 8 and 14 on Friday evenings (5.30-6.30pm). It would be great to see as many Abbey students as possible benefitting from this partnership.
