Colacao

on

In their recent IB Spanish HL literature lesson with Sra. Trujillo, the students explored Spanish traditions through the beloved book Manolito Gafotas. One of the highlights was learning about Colacao, a popular Spanish cacao drink rich in nutrients and a staple in many children’s diets, enjoyed during breakfast or merienda—the traditional Spanish afternoon snack. To celebrate the festive season, the students embraced the holiday spirit in their final Christmas lesson, sipping warm Colacao with milk while singing traditional Spanish Christmas carols. It was a joyful and immersive way to connect with Spanish culture and traditions!
