An Evening to Remember: Our Annual Christmas Candlelight Celebration!

Last Monday, the Abbey community came alive with holiday cheer at our much-anticipated Christmas fair and candlelit procession. With over 350+ attendees securing their free tickets, we knew it would be an evening full of festive magic—and it exceeded all expectations!

The evening kicked off in the Junior School, where our talented Upper II and Lower III girls showcased an array of enchanting stalls. From lucky dips and face painting to hair accessories and delectable Christmas treats, there was joy at every turn.

And of course, the star guest, Father Christmas, brought an extra sprinkle of magic! He posed for photos, spreading festive cheer, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

This year’s fair supported The Cowshed, a local charity providing crucial help to those in crisis. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, the Junior School stalls raised an incredible £596.29—a fantastic achievement that embodies the spirit of giving!

The celebration continued with cozy hot chocolate and heartfelt carols led by the Junior School and staff choirs. Everyone eagerly sang along to classics like Little Donkey and Calypso Carol before joining a beautiful candlelit procession down Kendrick Road to the Senior School. The glow of the candles created a truly magical atmosphere, reminding us all of the warmth this season brings.

Our evening concluded in Hardcastle Hall with mince pies, mulled wine, and the sweet sounds of our talented Rock Band playing timeless Christmas favourites. It was the perfect end to an unforgettable night.

A huge shoutout to our amazing staff, dedicated parents, and enthusiastic students who made this event possible. Your support and spirit brought the holiday magic to life.

Here’s to more festive fun next year—we can’t wait to celebrate with you again!
