Children in Need and World Diabetes Day in After School Care

on

On Friday 14 November the children at the Junior School came into school wearing their amazing onsies and pyjamas to support Children in Need and World Diabetes Day. Throughout the day they learnt about why we were raising awareness and money for these causes and this continued into After School Care.

As well as Children in Need and Diabetes awareness colouring sheets, Pudsey masks were coloured in and worn. As they were already cosy in their pyjamas and onsies, what better way to enjoy snack than a surprise blanket fort picnic! The lights in the dining room were dimmed and sensory lights and torches lit up their snack time – a Pudsey puppet even joined them for snack! The children really enjoyed gathering under the blanket for snack and then using the torches to make finger puppets and seeing how the light changed when shone through the blanket roof.
