On Thursday, the Upper VI IB chemists spent the day doing their Internal Assessment (IA) investigations.

The students have to design and carry out their own experimental investigation as part of the course and Thursday was when they carried out most of their practical work.

They were very busy collecting lots of data and making observations that will be discussed in their written report. We had a range of experimental techniques being carried out, including colorimetry and titration, and we had a mixture of Organic, Inorganic and Physical chemistry experiments being performed, with some students becoming expert at using pipettes after making more than 100 transfers.

Well done to all the Upper VI IB Chemists.
