Our Chamber Choir had a truly memorable evening last week when they were invited as special guests at the annual Christmas Concert hosted by Parenthesis, a well‑known local choir. Twenty talented Lower III pupils took to the stage and impressed the audience with their confidence, musicality, and festive spirit.
In the first half of the concert, the children performed a delightful selection of songs, including the ever‑popular ‘Holiday Tango’ and the lively ‘Reindeer on the Roof.’ Their energy and enthusiasm set a joyful tone for the evening and earned warm applause from the audience.

After the interval, the Chamber Choir joined forces with Parenthesis for a beautiful programme of seasonal music. Together, they performed Bob Chilcott’s ‘On Christmas Night,’ John Rutter’s ‘Star Carol,’ and a collection of much‑loved traditional carols. Singing alongside an established adult choir was an exciting experience for the pupils, and they rose to the occasion brilliantly.
As a token of appreciation, each choir member received a chocolate snowman from Parenthesis—a sweet end to a wonderful evening. In addition, Parenthesis will be making a donation to a charity chosen by the Chamber Choir, a gesture that reflects the spirit of generosity at the heart of the event.
We are incredibly proud of our young singers for representing the school so beautifully and for embracing such a special musical opportunity.
