Careers Tuesdays – What’s your Frog?

on

Are you a Wood frog or a Darwin’s frog? Or are you a Mimic poison frog or a Midwife toad?

This week, the whole senior school has been finding out more about their personality and interests as part of our new monthly programme – Careers Tuesdays. As well as having some fun with the different frog types (that are linked to specific Myers-Briggs psychometric profiles), the students have been using this information to explore subject and career suggestions that match their profile most closely.

The school has been developing the Unifrog platform to support our Careers programme for a couple of years now and as part of the evolving range of activities and events that are designed to make our students “future ready,” this academic year sees the launch of a regular monthly delve into Careers-related activities that are matched to the needs of specific year groups.

As the students progress through the school, they will interact with activities that help them think about the skills they are developing and will need in the future – be it learning about who they are, what careers is all about, preparing for interviews, managing their personal brand or making informed choices about GCSE and A Level subjects.

In the next few weeks, we will be offering parents, guardians and carers the opportunity to discover their own Frog by providing access to Unifrog. Not only will this provide a talking point with the students, it will also allow everyone supporting the students to engage with their careers journey and maybe even discover something about themselves and a new career direction too!
