The Berkshire Young Musician of the Year – string competition is back and you can sign up now! Could you be the next Berkshire Young Musician of the Year 2023?  This competition is open to all string players at any ability and any age. See below for more details:

The age categories are as follows: 

Ages 9 and under – you will be required to play two contrasting pieces lasting no more than 7 minutes. 

Ages 10-12 – you will be required to play two contrasting pieces lasting no more than 10 minutes. 

Ages 13-15 – you will be required to play two contrasting pieces lasting no more than 12 minutes. 

Ages 16 -18 – you will be required to play two contrasting pieces lasting no more than 15 minutes.
