BBC Radio Berkshire invited Suhani (Year 12) to appear on the Rena Annobil show earlier in November.

The invitation was to talk about Bharatanatyam, a South Indian classical dance form that Suhani has been proficiently practising for many years now. The talk revolved around the origins of Bharatanatyam, stories told and how this traditional dance form is keeping culture alive, its impact on contemporary societal issues, and the personality development/benefits of taking up this dance form.

During the radio appearance, Suhani also spoke about the much-anticipated showpiece event hosted at the University of Reading – Meghadoota, a tale of love and longing, separation, and the eventual reunion of two lost souls, in which Suhani performed a lead role. The event has since concluded, and the dancers brought the story to life using dance, drama, and narrative, striking a chord with the audience and leaving them spellbound.
