Basketball Success

Elisha has been selected in the U10 Reading Rocket Basketball team. She started playing basketball at home last year and developed interest in the sport. She followed it up by attending basketball classes at the local centre. 

Elisha went for trials for the Reading Rocket club this summer and has now been selected in the team. She regularly plays basketball matches with other clubs in the region including Oxford and Southampton.

The Rockets were founded in 1997 and have achieved huge success with the Senior, Junior, Academy programmes and are now privileged to run the AASE (Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence) programme. Rockets is now one of the most successful clubs in England and established its Rockets Sport and Educational Foundation charity in 2012. It has gained Sport England’s kitemark ‘ClubMark’ and England Basketball’s 4 star accreditation.
