Barnardo’s Young Supporters Concert at the Royal Albert Hall

on

On Monday 21 November, it was the turn of Upper II to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in the Barnardo’s Young Supporter’s Concert.

The theme of this charity event was ‘Heroes and Villains’ and the students relished the experience of singing as part of a choir of 1000 young voices, accompanied by the world-renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The programme included many musical delights from films, such as We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Encanto and This Is Me from The Greatest Showman, to orchestral classics, such as the finale from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.

The event was hosted by the television presenter and President of the Barnardo’s charity, Natasha Kaplinsky, who spoke to Nona from Upper II on stage about her experience and presented her with a beautiful Barnardo’s teddy bear.  It was a wonderful evening and raised over £60,000 for this very worthy cause.
