An early start on Tuesday 4 March saw Chamber Choir start their long journey to Symphony Hall, Birmingham to take part in the Grand Final of the annual Barnardo’s National Choral Competition. Over 70 choirs entered the competition from across Great Britain and Chamber Choir were one of 16 junior choirs selected to sing at the finals. We had been drawn number three to sing and the excitement mounted as we waited backstage for our turn. The choir sang magnificently and the last note of Joyful Joyful resounded round the hall.
The Chamber Choir members represented the School exceptionally well and finally returned home tired but joyful, having entertained many people and helped the valuable fundraising needed for Barnardo’s to continue their work with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
