U13 Reading and District Athletics Finals

Congratulations to the U13 athletes who won the Reading and District Schools Athletics ‘A’ finals on Tuesday! The team qualified for the ‘A’ finals after winning the previous matches, against 19 other local schools. On Tuesday the students were phenomenal; winning five of the nine events, including the 75m sprint, 600m, long jump, high jump and relay! They beat the runners up, Piggott, by 9 points. Further congratulations should go to our ‘B’ team, who came 2nd in the ‘C’ finals last week! 

U13 Berkshire Schools Track and Field Championships

We had 7 students in Upper III qualify for the U13 Berkshire Schools Track and Field Championships to compete for the Reading District on Wednesday. Csilla, Yasmina, Elaine, Olivia and Sophia did excellently in their events, all coming in the top 10. Particular mention to goes to Keira in the 75m and Fikayo in the Javelin who were both crowned County champions and got the gold medals in their events. Well done to all who took part; it was a fantastic finish to a great season of athletics!
