Abbey alumnae Physics visit

on

Last Friday two Abbey alumnae gave a talk for Lower V to Upper VI students interested in studying Physics and Engineering at University.

Alice Hadjiloucas began by speaking about her experiences applying for Physics at university, her favourite parts of the course and the importance of extra curriculars at university. She then shared her experience of a year abroad and the benefits she gained from completing it.

Jo Stylo followed by speaking about her experiences applying for and studying aerospace engineering. She discussed the balance between the practical and theoretical parts of the course and went on to discuss her choice to spend a year in industry and the application process for this. Both Alice and Jo answered the many and varied questions posed by the current students and were very reassuring about the university application process. We hope all who attended learnt something new and feel encouraged to consider Physics related options when they leave the Abbey.

Thank you Alice and Jo!
