A truly immersive exhibition discovering the Last Days of Pompeii

on

Upper IV Latin students travelled to London to visit the limited-edition immersive exhibition on the Last Days of Pompeii. Let’s hear what some of our students said about it.

“We had a BLAST at the Pompeii exhibition. Starting off with an explanation of Pompeii before the eruption and ending with a wonderful VR experience. It really felt like we were in Pompeii experiencing the eruption of Mount Vesuvius for ourselves! One of our personal favourite artefacts was a shiny bottle, this symbolised the rise in popularity of glass making and people would put perfumes and medicines and drinks into these bottles and it was fascinating to see how it has evolved. We also got to partake in a VR experience walking around and interacting with our friends and our surroundings. It was so crazy to be able to walk around in a different setting.”
